Greetings and welcome to Scubaboard!!!

Go Cubs! (12-2 as I write this).

Welcome to SB from a former native of Chicago who got tired of shoveling snow in -81 degree temperatures and has lived in Caleeforneeaah since the late 60's.

Dr. Bill

Welcome Swampmonster,

There are quite a few of us from the Chicago area, here on the boards. It's lots of fun and tons of info too. Where do you usually dive?

Dr. Bill, have I mentioned how jealous I am that you live in Catalina. (heavy sigh) I wish I lived in Catalina (lots of whine, for effect:wink: )

Well I've done most of my diving at Pearl Lake but the drive is starting to get a bit longer than I'd like to go. Still haven't checked out Haigh but hear it's building up and becoming a competitve alternate to Pearl. All my dives have been limited to all being shore dives. Dove the Bonne Terre mine in Missouri and that was cool. Some minor diving when stationed in Oahu but that was long before I was certified and had no clue to what I was doing so I dont count that.

Hey Swampmonster.

There are a lot of people on the board from Chicago. Go Cubs.
Hey.. in a fast car, we can road trip to the FL. Keys.
My friend, you need some salt water.

Watch the board. Chi area divers have gotten togeather a couple of times this year.
