Divers are the same, we are explorers and in many ways we operate in a more hostile environment than space, astronauts operate in a –1 atmosphere, divers operate in an environment greater than 2 atmospheres and in most cases 4 atmospheres plus.

I think I'm going to disagree a little here, they have to get to where they're operating, but I totally agree that we(astronauts & divers) are both explorers...
This is not to take away from space exploration but to reinforce the dive communities support for the exploration of space.

I wish we all had the same views...unfortunately there are a lot of divers out there who are into the whole i "need" a piece of history. They're the same ones who take coral home with them and the same ones who take artifacts off shipwrecks. Pisses me off too.
