I love the macro settings on the dc1000. This guy was only about an inch long.

The smallest lionfish I've ever seen. About 2 inches long.

NW Diver, how do you like the video light? I'm thinking of adding one to my DC1000 set up.
It's definately bright, but I didn't shoot that much video on my first trip out with the camera. I think it will be of more use in Puget Sound and on night dives. I also had the WB set wrong when I was shooting video so I'm not sure. Either way, I usually dive with a light to get the nooks and crannies lit up and it would be hard to hold a light in one and and shoot photos with the other. We are headed out this weekend for a Reef survey so I'll try it out some more and let you know.

Here are some pictures from the San Juan Islands a few weekends okay. This was my first time out with the DC1200 in cold dark water. I am glad I had the video light because I wouldn't have been able to see what I was shooting without it.

LOVE your pics!

Did you get the setup that has the flash on one side and video light on the other, or did you add the video light another way?

I tooks these with my new DC 1200.
Used two strobes. Some were taken at night (on a full moon).
All were taken in Martinique.
