ok, i think that, for the record, i just want to say that i have never and will never
allow anything called a "spotted dick" to come into contact with any plate or piece
of cuttlery with which i intend to eat

I think you can get stuffed eating a suet based dinner (like stew & dumplings - my fav, or a suet pie (there is meat inside)) and then have a suet based desert, like spotted d1ck or jam roly-poly or the like - man am i hungry for that stuff right now, must be near lunchtime.

Its ok Andy, i wouldnt share my spotted d1ck with anyone - even if they asked nicely, too good to share

I guess from reading the menu, England likes relating their food with other things , Are there many overweight people in England? (lol)

Regarding your question about the US claiming it as their own, if a product from any other country does not have a patten pending or copy rights in the US to protect their product, it could happen! The same goes for inventions. If you have a patten in the US and you don't have a patten in another country the same invention can be pattened in that country by another.
