Hello Everyone!!! Well, here's the scoop...

After thinking it was enough to just snorkel in Oz, (my local reefs, Ningaloo and Rottnest are close to shore,) (that, and being a poor student,) attempting to dive in Cairns (didn't pass the physical 100% as I was all partied out with a slight cold on New Year's Day last year,) (more snorkelling) attempting to go in Thailand this year, (SARS scared my dive buddy so I went on a capoeira tour instead,) not going diving in the Yaeyama islands, Okinawa last week (too expensive,) this is now the 5TH TIME I will have attempted to go diving,

:tree: DESTINATION : GUAM + PALAU!!! :tree:

:rainbow: Appologies in advance for the silly quesitons I will no doubt be asking, but promise you I will become a very dedicated and avid diver! :rainbow:

ippai genki jen of oz

(ippai = full of, very)
(genki = good, happy, lively)
(Oz = sure you know that one!)

Welcome to the Party Line...!!

...and happy and safe diving. I really envy you (envy of the good that is). Good luck, take care.

 Why so envious??? (in the good way?) I am envious that most of you have been diving for ages.... at least I am finally getting my butt into the deep blue, yeah!!! :snorkel:

Welcome to the comraderie of ScubaBoard. Enjoy all the great information you'll find here. It is truly the good life.... whether you are penetrating a wreck, deep into a cave, neutrally bouyant in the kelp canopy, drifting past coral heads, or like I did today, out in wonderful visibility videotaping bat rays feeding in the sand. The only thing that would make life better is making some money from all this! I'm trying.

because most people want to got to Palau and you're starting out there - I'm certainly envious of that!

Another diver in Japan - cool! Hajimae****e - doozo yoroshiku onegaishimasu...

(sorry the profantity checker does not like a lot of Japanese words like tomorrow etc....)

Jonathan

Aha, good point, still, it's about TIME I got my butt under the water and in the deep blue....

Jonathan - as you also live in Japan, perhaps you could help me... currently trying to book flights to Guam, but the best #1 Travel can do is 39,000 plus tax etc... damn, why do japanese people take such short holidays and charge more for people who don't??? Anyway, option #2 is a JAL Goku fair, any other ideas???

Might be moving to Tokyo once my contract ends next year, you do a lot of diving out of there?

Oh yeah, ‚Ç‚¤‚¼‚æ‚낵‚_III@:japanese:

that price! You see adverts from 29,000 but I've never got one of those!

From Metropolis you could try:
GM Travel 03-3358-5126 - they are advertising 29,000 ~
Air1 Travel 03-5919-0198 - they are advertising 33,000 ~

Problem is you usually have to go in and get the ticket or voucher which is not that convenient....
