Just bring a lot of pictures to post. I've seen so many documentaries and I just want to go there. Anyways I'll start making plans to be there within a year.
Don't forget to swim along the lagoon where all the harmless mini jelly fish are.

Thanks for all the great tips and advice guys I'm gonna try those numbers you mentioned Jonathon, (I will be in Tokyo on business about a week before travel so no worries bout picking up the tickets)

Welcome to the board and of course...to diving! You live in a place I would love to visit and dive sometime. Enjoy the board and use it to your advantage as there is a lot of experience and knowledge to be gained from the board. Have fun in your diving and be safe.

I am new here too but I had to say hi because of a few connections!
I just got certified this summer and really love diving.
I play capoeira too (angola though) and I know of some really great capoeira people in Japan. They travel to New York City frequently (where I used to live) to train with Mestre Joao Grande and also to Salvador in Brazil. The have a great group in Yokohama that you should check out if you move to Tokyo and are interested. They also occasionally have some mestres come to visit from Brazil. I went there a couple to times to visit. I didn't dive there but one of the capoeira guys there dives.
