They are advertised in the Sep/Oct run of SCUBA Diving Mag. Selling for $50.00. I am not sure they exist. I checked 2 shops in Tampa and they did not have their order from last year yet and had not received any possible target date.

Looks good but I will believe it when I can touch it.......:shakehead:

Are you certain that was the price in the magazine? That would put it far below the pricing even on the NL web site.

Which two shops in Tampa did you check, and when?

When I finished reading the Mag they had another advertisement on I think page 66 that had the price for $299.00. You are right $50 is really low and that is why it caught my eye.

Bill Jackson's adventures and I do not remember the other. They said check with them and gave me directions. I was only in town 1 1/2 days so I did not have time for more searching. As I dive in open ocean 100% of my dives and do not trust most of the boats I have thought this would be a good tool.

Well, it's been nine days, so I guess it's time to bump this again.

According to the Nauitilus Lifeline web site, this product is shipping.

Locations show as google maps when chosen from the handy drop down menu choice. If someone goes by and asks if they have the product, could you please ask them to post a picture and their impression of it here, so we can all see the final configuration of the shipped product?

Well, this just makes no sense at all. NO ONE has seen or held any Nautilus LIfelines or seen them at the referenced businesses? It's 20 October, and based on prior postings here the majority of the back orders should have shipped by now.

Can anyone shed some light here? Buehler?

Anyone know which booth NL will have at DEMA this year? Maybe we can ask them there where all the promised Lifelines are?

Booth 2517. Good luck, nothing but empty promises from these guys. Obviously I won't have mine by the current target date since I have not received the phone call yet confirming I am still interested. I bet most of the credit card numbers they took will have expired before they actually ship these things. That's pretty bad when you release a product at Dema and still don't have any units for sale at the following DEMA. I understand delays, but perhaps if the preorder customers had been kept better informed of the progress I would not be so bitter about this.

I know they are going to show up a DEMA with 3000 units ad hand the out directly to all that ordered them last year....:D:confused:

I was charged and canceled. I have resorted to carrying my HH radio. I have it sealed in a food saver vacume bag. It has GPS all marine channels, emergency beacon and is water resistant to 10 ft. A little bigger but it works on those dives that I want the safety comfort level.

What's your source for this claim? Who from Nautilus Lifeline has confirmed it?

I was charged and canceled.

So you were one of those who paid in advance?

Did you have to pay interest on the amount on your credit card, and if so, were you reimbursed for that interest?

Relax I was being Sarcastic, Sorry if you did not understand that.

I got my money back....

I would like to get one but they may not have them out there for a while if not ever......... I moved on and do not care any more.....

Federal Communications Commission Certification was issued October 6. So they could legally start selling in U.S.A. and possesions as of that date.

Here's an internal photo for those interested.

What made you decide to disassemble the unit?

Were there any issues when you went to register the MMSI as a diver, rather than a marine vessel?

I recognize that you cannot answer the following:

If the unit could not be legally sold in the US prior to the October 6 FCC certification you referenced, why did Nautilus Lifeline repeatedly give out delivery times well in advance of that actual certification?

Nautilusmike stated that roughly 100 production units were shipped on September 14 in this thread, with quite a few more shipped well prior to Oct 6 as well; if that is correct, those units cannot have been certed by the FCC. What are the legal ramifications here?

I would have to assume that if, in fact, any units actually have ever shipped, it was probably not to the US customers. I would, however, question the legality of any presales where cards where charged for US customers.
