Tern comes with a screen protector applied.Since the Tern is not sapphire crystal do they include a screen protector? If I got 2, one primary and a backup, can I pair both to my transmitter?

Mmm im going to have to disagree. If someone REALLY needs it they will buy a Garmin mk3 but to put it on all dive computers to satisfy one person in 50,000 divers or 100,000 divers is insane. No one uses it, no one will, except the tippy top one or two and they can have a garminCan we just agree that it's not something you want or see a use for, but other people definitely DO want it - and their reasons may be completely valid for what they are doing - and leave it at that?
Before taking courses you bought a nice dive computer? Many people quit after getting certified, hopefully you love itI’m not a diver yet, but I purchased a Tern TX. I am getting certified next week and wanted my own dive computer. After much research, it was clear Shearwater was the way to go. The issue was I will never do any tech diving which made the Peregrine the perfect choice. BUT, I knew I wanted Air Integration soon, which now made the Peregrine a lousy choice, and the Teric and Perdix were WAY overkill, both in features and price, for my needs.
I actually went to the dive shop to look at and probably purchase a Peregrine and, boom , I am also shown a Tern TX! So, I am the perfect niche for this dive computer. Friday, I’ll get used to the Tern TX during the pool training, and Saturday I get to actually dive with it. I am so excited!
Indeed, I did buy a nice dive computer and I did enjoy my certification diving. I’ll be diving for several days in a few months. While I won’t dive much, my trusty computer will help me enjoy each dive. I know people who bought their entire dive kit for their certification. Before taking courses you bought a nice dive computer? Oh yea for sure. I see it happen all the time where people get certified then never dive again. I have 3 friends that got certified and a couple years later still have not dove again. I more often see people get certified then do some diving for a year or two then quit.Indeed, I did buy a nice dive computer and I did enjoy my certification diving. I think you’re confused because I didn’t buy too much too soon. I purchased what I wanted when I wanted it. Let my product and timing choices not be a burden, bother, or even the slightest concern of yours. Take care and dive safely.Oh yea for sure. Im very guilty of buying too much too soon. after about 20 dives in a few months I stupidly went out and bought a Scuba Pro Hydros Pro, Atomic T3 titanium reg, perdix AI and plenty more.
still diving and using it all. Love that stuff, but it was more than I really needed.
