I replaced the batteries in mine the other day after two years, didn't change the O-rings.

I would like it to become my favorite also but not at $50 a pop!!
I love the tool, it's just what I need but I just cannot justify that price since it will be used so rarely.

The o-ring is harder to find than it seems. I'll prob stick to carrying spare batteries and my analog gauge as backups.

For a few dollars more, I'd get the 5-inch one, which opens to more than 1-inch so would allow getting a tight SS DIN plug out.

The battery compartment Oring? I got 50 of them on ebay for $7.

Does anyone use a 6” hp hose to mount their transmitter?

I do, its like a a $40 insurance policy for me, gives me a piece of mind. My friend's tank was mishandled and he lost his transmitter because of that.
