Shearwater Swift transmitter —> do I need a valve for a hose mount?

Also, I've seen three or four videos now on how to change the spool for an SPG, and they all mention using "oxygen safe" grease. So I keep wondering if I need to hunt down Viton o-rings and buy the ridiculously expensive O2 safe grease just to put in a new air spool. (Both my Scubapro and Subgear SPGs don't work with the shouldered spool I have - they won't swivel).
Not all that expensive, considering how little you need to use.

 
Those of us using Aqualung or Swift transmitters, can use the $1.50 ones from DGX.

Checking the Swift manual - Makes sense now because Shearwater only advises using a spool when using an HP hose - then the same one used with SPGs can be inserted. Further the manual also says that the spool is not supplied with the transmitter.
