I am not diving rebreather in the near future but am considering sometimes later when funds allow. I am looking at whether I should get a Stand-Alone model and if I venture into the rebreather world (pun not intended;-) I will get a hard-wired model then and the SA used at back up OR I should get the one with a fischer connector and use it for rebreather later.

Members in my dive club who are diving with the Predator with Fischer Connector all swear that they should have got either a SA model or a hard wired model (from rebreather members).

My question is: is Fischer connector that bad??
