Question Shearwater Perdix compass lag

Hello all, I was playing around with my digital compass alongside watching some youtube videos on setup, and noticed that the compass in the video guy's perdix moves very fluid and smooth, whereas mine is choppy, is there something cluttering up processing capacity that I need to clear on mine or something of the sort? Drivers are updated within the month and the memory only holds 30 or so dives, any ideas?

It doesn't increase movement fluidity, would a new battery be of any help? I'm still on the factory battery...

Perdix or perdix 2? I noticed the compass on the 2 feels way nicer than the original.
