Hello,

Hopefully enough time has past since the last time this was inevitably asked, but care to share your BP/W gear list? As I'm getting ready for my first BP/W purchases, I want to make sure I'm not missing any great options out there. I'm particularly interested in the following items:

1. Backplate
2. Wing
3. Harness
4. Primary 1st stage
5. Primary 2nd stage
6. Computer
7. SPG
8. Hoses

Thanks so much.

Regards,
David

assuming single tank rig

1. Backplate-Long Pattern Freedom Plate
2. Wing-VDH 30lb Donut
3. Harness-I think the hardware came from Dive Rite? I use red webbing from Northeast Scuba Supply, and a 2" padded crotch strap from Dive Rite
4. Primary 1st stage-Argonaut Kraken or Scubapro MK20
5. Primary 2nd stage-Argonaut Kraken or Poseidon Jetstream
6. Computer-Perdix AI
7. SPG-Perdix AI transmitter
8. Hoses-rubber only, can't stand braided hoses

various other accessories dependent on the dive, but that's the base rig

doubles/CCR
1. Backplate-Long Pattern DSS SS or Kydex plate depending on what I'm diving
2. Wing-DSS Torus 49
3. Harness-DSS harness but an Oxycheq split crotch strap
4. Primary 1st stage-Scubapro MK20
5. Primary 2nd stage- Poseidon Jetstream
6. Computer-Perdix AI
7. SPG-Perdix AI transmitter
8. Hoses-rubber only, can't stand braided hoses

If single tank, add sta to your list unless you wing/plate combo allow you to strap without it.

6. Computer - Suunto eon core
7. SPG - computer is ai, but I also have a Hollis spg
8. Hoses - regular ol rubber[/QUOTE]

That's right;
if it's good enough for "The Little Mister", it's good enough for scuba diving.

Cold water
Long FReedom plate
Or long DSS
VDH 35lb wing of FP, diverite 35lb voyager on DSS
Harness I make myself because like the H set up and Cary some lead on the belt.
Atomic ST1 or M1 or T2 or Z2 or Kraken. Usually use an Atomic SS1 ora G250 for octo or 19cf pony with a z2 din first BA 109 second (or G250)
SOL computer but by next week a perdix AI
Love braided hoses
Standard inflator, SPG always come along but aren’t used until/if needed.

Warm water the FP or a VDH flat plate and a VDH 18 lb wing

Backplate: OxyCheq ST, Halcyon AL, STA
Wing: OxyCheq 30#
Harness: Halcyon webbing, Some 2" webbing
Primary 1st: SP Mk25 Evo
Primary 2nd: S600/S600
Comp: Hollis DGO3 (aka Aeris Elite T3, Oceanic VT3)
SPG: brass and glass
Hoses: rubber, 7' and necklaced

Whistle on BC hose, ceramic cutter on belt. More details in profile.
SPG case finally leaked, replacing with compact 1.5" as redundancy with sidemount rig.
