Question: Can you take 2 computers and swap the transmitter? I know some transmitters will broadcast to multiple computers, and if only one of you is diving each day, taking the reg set with the transmitter is easy enough. You would be accurately tracking your NDLs even.

His wife has a non-air-integrated AquaLung computer, and he has an ai-integrated Suunto. The AquaLung cannot read the Suunto output, even if the AquaLung were air-integrated. She needs an SPG, or needs to use his computer for its gas readout.

The thing with travelling around is that less weight means more flexibility. Want to grab a motorcycle and tour a bit for a few days? No problem because we’ll only bring two bags. Go for a hike? Why not, we didn’t bring a stroller but a baby carrier. That extra 100grams will make a big difference when hiking up a mountain or going for a jungle trek. It’s the total sum of everything. And yes, renting all our gear would save a lot of weight

For example I only brought a 40L backpack with me last year while we traveled for a month through Borneo. Less than 10kg in total. Ah well you get the picture. We like to be adventurous and diving matches that perfectly. If anybody needs tips on how to travel light hit me up
Best of luck to you! Your lifestyle appeals to the minimalist in me 😊.
