Foreplay, maybe. Sex, no. Thuridilla picta, like other nudibranchs, has its sexual organs on the right side of the head. None of your critters is in the correct position.

Ha, you call that sex near the beach? Check the pictures associated with this newspaper column.
 
The picture was taken two weeks ago, May 4th. To the best of my memory it was taken at Yucab or Tormentos. If you look close there are three of them.
 
Cozumel's Thuridilla picta are easy to find, once you realize how very, very small they are and what they eat. You will find them on the shallower reefs and on the rocks/sandflats above the deeper reefs. Look for the short-green-grass (algae) that you see in bgillis' image. Did I mention, they are very, very small?
