My hands are the first thing to get cold during a dive. I would not dive in Washington, or anywhere on the West Coast of North America, without dry gloves.

A whole lot of the people I dive with use dry gloves, so you are not alone. Another guy dives all year wet. I have seen him get pretty cold once, but that was a day that there was frost on the ground. He can use a drysuit, but he didn't see the point and never bought one. We are all different.

I made 800 dives before I bought my first drysuit. I can still feel myself shivering during those long deco stops in California water. Even after a few drysuits, I didn't try drygloves until about twenty years ago. Even in a fully flooded drysuit in 46° at God's Pocket, I still didn't feel as cold as I did in a wetsuit.

A tip for those who want to customise their badge: inkscape. Free, and you can insert all kinds of images, logos and text with some help from ChatGPT to make designs like this (fusion of the British and French flag in my case):

Just an update on the RoLock 90 glove ring situation. I was able to special order the glove side rings and the blue ring from drysuitspareparts.com. I had to order it special, however the pricing seemed fairly reasonable. Much cheaper than ordering another kit, when really all I need is the glove side rings.

They just got back to me, too: 110 GBP, which is about $150 USD. DGX has the whole kit for only $65 more, so I'm on the fence.

Interesting, they charged me 34 GBP per glove ring, and the blue rings were 14 GBP per pair. So 82 GBP per set.
Same, but blue rings were 14 GBP each. Then shipping, which was reasonable. Nice folks.

(You might verify yours is for the pair unless you've already got them.)
