Success, I think. OMG, the glue stink from this suit was the worst. I was hoping the talc and rinsing the outer multiple times would reduce the noxious odor, but no, it's obviously the inner seams emitting the stench. 3 dives later I finally broke down and washed the thing fully submerged in wetsuit/drysuit soap. Killed maybe 80% of the smell. It was so bad we couldn't keep the suit in the house. Never had a new suit stink so bad OOTB, and after multiple dives and after hanging to air out for weeks. TOXIC! Just sayin, Gear Aid suit wash is now my BFF :p

Gosh I kind of like the new suit smell:)

It’s the result of getting a farm fresh suit, I never found it offensive enough to give it much thought and it quickly goes away or maybe it’s still there but the fumes indoctrinate one into acceptance.;)

I finally was able to get my new Seaskin wet with 3 dives yesterday in our local quarry. Thanks to everyone who posted over the past 6 years - I think I got my options right. The suit felt good, I was warm in the 150gm undergarment at 46 degrees, and the instructor helping me was impressed with how well the Kubi glove system worked - as was I. @Boarderguy and @rob.mwpropane The suit was a significant improvement from the leaky rental suit I dove last October during my drysuit course where I finished each dive about as wet as I do after diving in a wetsuit :(

Unfortunately my buoyancy and trim aren't nearly as good as the suit....

You'll get there... looks good!

Too bad you'll never know what it's like to be 100% secure with your Kubi's:)

Hi, for those that just arrived to the party, I've read the 350 pages and managed to not get fired at work.
I took some notes and linked the specific posts into a document so maybe it can help newcomers:
link to google sheet if you want to add comments or view it in separate window

It's not perfect, could use more comments next to each link. But I think it can help answer specific questions.
Thanks to everyone that spend time answering questions in this thread.
Maybe one subject that can be added are the taxes, but since I'm in EU I didn't pay much attention to it.

Will probably order mine next week.

If only this was available a few weeks ago I would have saved so many hours. Bonus points if a moderator could move your post to the first page of the thread.
