Thanks Joe,

I'm going to think a little about what to do. I could go to the 6 inch hose, or return this one and go to the M25/S600 that can be serviced right next to my house.

For the record the LDS put the regulator on a tank with 1000 psi and the o-ring could be seen bulging out a little, so it was an obvious no go.

...while I've heard of people putting their AI transmitter on a short 6" HP hose, I don't do that and I'm not sure it's a good idea as I wouldn't like to hear the sound of the transmitter thwacking the side of my tank! :) Plus, I'm seeing the transmitter getting hidden behind the diver/BC disrupting the transmitter signal.

From the picture you seem to be using an AA55 Connector (to connect two hoses) rather than the AA29 Spacer. Could this be the problem?

It does look like the AA55 but the bag it came in said AA29. The hole is really small (1mm?), so I'm assuming it's correctly the HP version.

Perhaps something like this would work better.

DaMaDo I just noticed that you live in Miami. Typically the LDS in this area are friendly and will not give you a hard time if you bought the equipment elsewhere. I had the same issue that you have, in my case an Oceanic transmitter with Aqualung Legend. I was able to sort it out at the LDS without the need for the extender by simply changing the sleeve on the hose. I would recommend either Underwater Unlimited or Austins (both in my area). The important thing is that you use the equipment that you want to use and not have a need to exchange based on minor issues.

...that HP O-ring showing on the side makes me nervous, I'll bet once pressurized that HP O-ring will extrude/blow....any way you can relocate the LP hose next to the transmitter and install it on another LP port?

You might hear a (very QUICK---& it 's hard to type this sound, btw)....ssssSSSSSS, POW!!!!!!
