Nancy just told me that they "deactivated" her boat, so she is back in operation (yea!!!!).

She also told me that she has not gotten paid by BP for the three weeks she was under contract (got to love BP).

Given the money she just lost doing this, I know she would be happy for the business this weekend....

Ouch, I finailized my weekend replans last night. Now I'm committed elsewhere! Good to hear that she is back though! Hopefully she will get her payments.

Thats good news, hope she gets her money, sounds like she could have ran the boat on atleast a few occassions just from the posts made on ScubaBoard the past week or so.

She had Miss Teak filled every weekend and turned people away.. don't know about during the week stuff.

I know she could have had at least 12 trips of more than 15 people.

As this oil starts moving ashore farther east, we may end up with no shops left, or very few. This whole thing is so terrible.

Well... I like Nancy, but that was a bad move on her part :/ She should have just run the boats, took a slight hit(if any), not turn divers away to other shops, and made a little money.

I figured that once a "busy weekend" such as memorial day came up, that she's put the boat back into operation. (break the contract with BP)

sucks for the customers who were there the weeks before though. but oh well. it is what it is... I guess she did what she thought was best at the time.... I hate that after all that she missed out on paying customers and didn't get paid by BP either. But again, it is what it is....

yes she could. We (Seayoda and I) tried to book trips and were told that they weren't running them because of BP. We dove the jetties instead.

we couldn't go on the Miss Teak either because she was down for a few days due to a busted diesel line. They canceled trips for 2-3 days because of it. They got her working though as I saw her at the fuel dock in the harbor later in the week.

We already have 2 spots spoken for on Monday at 9:00! Looking forward to seeing a full boat with Scubaboarders.

Anyone going out on Monday is invited to my place for lunch... shrimp (unless some fish happen to fall into the boat).. salad... beer (assuming one is over the legal drinking age)..am about 5 blocks from their shop.

Sounds like fun, I'll be on my boat(I didn't take the BP contract-LOL) out on some panhandle spring though :)
