It fits but doesn't "lock" into place :

The purpose of the built in (blue) friction washer is so tech divers can remove the diaphragm cover, while underwater, without loosing the friction ring.

As mentioned above the case for the R195 and G260 are the same. The reason for that is both second stages can be configured to allow the LP hose to come from the right or left, something useful for side mount divers.

No snipping required. In the photo I'm using the R195 friction washer, it's clips in. The cases are the same. Using a G260 face plate that small slot is empty.

Thanks for showing me this...I will be putting the yellow face plate with the friction washer on the G260...does the G260 washer fit on the yellow 195 faceplate? If so shouldn't I get one of those?

Both friction rings fit using either plate, the blue G260 one locks onto face plate itself, the R195 friction ring locks into case.
