Using the yellow R195 cover could be a possibility? There are covers being sold to be used on both R195 and G260. I have not tried this, perhaps there is someone who can confirm the covers are interchangeable.

Kupu is correct, you can use a R195 but need to change friction ring too, I use black R195 covers on my G260s. Cases are the same. You can still use G260 purge button and decal.

Does the 195 cover lock the button down like the G260 cover does?

And why do you need a different anti friction ring?

The 195 cover does lock the purge button in to depress the diaphragm. No idea about the need for a different anti friction ring

The normal cover for the G260 has the built in friction washer, whereas the R195 cover does not have it. The yellow cover with the friction washer works well with the G260. Scubapro also makes a green cover that too needs the friction washer.

So do you need to snip that little tab off the R195 ring to use it on a G260? Or will the G260 washer snap inside an R195 faceplate?

No snipping required. In the photo I'm using the R195 friction washer, it clips into case. The cases are the same. Using a G260 face plate that small slot is empty.
