I have been thinking about getting ScubaPro Xtender as a wrist computer as a backup to my Uwatec SmartCom. But I am considering that I am going to start doing a little freediving so I was wondering is the Xtender has a freedive mode. Cause if it doesn't I will have to start looking at some of the Sunnto brands that do have freedive mode. But then I will be having two different brands and different Algorithm. But then again I look at the Xtender and Smartcom and then even seem they have different Algorithm.

Michael,

I am pretty sure the Xtender has a different algorithm than your Smartcom. Suunto makes a great product. If you are going to be headed towards freediving you would have to look at the D3. Note the D3 is a freediving specific computer. I would suggest you also look at the Mares Nemo. It has 4 modes. Air/Nitrox/Gauge and Freediving. With the Nemo you get 2 computers for the price of one. I use mine for both Scuba and Freediving frequently.
Good luck, I wish I was getting a new toy:D
