Scubapro G250 can't be serviced??

FTR, I can do the G250V/G260 kit with S-wing poppet, new spring and long crown X type balance chamber, C clip and flow vane O vane for around $40, just over. I don't get dealer prices, it is all new stock OEM though. Manual, schematics and assistance FOC. Of course I mark prices up but it's not by a whole bunch and I need to cover shipping and import costs.

I misread, my apologies. I saw poppet, spring and balance chamber. There was no comma.

But still, a couple of dollars for anything SP blows my mind.

Looking at the two balance chambers in this post above: two balance chambers
I am struck not by the extra length of the narrow sleeve (that's a good thing), but by the apparent extra height of the base. I wonder if this will affect minimum cracking effort in a G250, because there is a limit to how far you can screw out the adjustment knob. I seem to recall being frustrated by an old G250 that I just couldn't get low enough. But I can't recall which balance chamber it had...

FWIW I always use the long crown balance chambers on s-wing converted G250s and have never noticed anything. Most often if I have a cracking effort issue it's that it's too low.

I believe the OP should seriously consider DIY!
All the info is here and plenty of knowledgeable persons offering FREE advice.
Trouble shooting is easy in the future especially you know how the thing works.

Yes, what it costs a dealer, shop staff etc etc means very little to the average consumer. I'm also interested in cost to customer, the rest is all but irrelevant.

I am glad that I never ventured out from Apeks!
No up-grading(except the 5th port on some models) or even special tool required!
