Mo2, what? Am I in on the take?!? Is that any way to treat a neighbor? Those coin machines are wonderful - I have stuffed coin wrappers in my youth, but now that I'm older, it is worth it!

Dr. Bill - complicated life! If you are there Sunday, please stop by.

I guess I'll be dry today, too. I was happy to see some of my friends at the show yesterday.

The show itself was kind of uneventful as far as I'm concerned.

Not to shabby, I won a pair of Tusa splits at the Sport Chalet drawing. Plus some excellent general swag! (T-shirts, key rings, stickers, and a towel!)

Plus, of course, I signed up for 80000 free trips to...somewhere. I better win one, I'll have writers cramp for a week.

(Nice fins, though!!!):D

So the show was successful for me despite the $8 parking. Still waiting to hear on the trip drawings!

However I'd gathered enough literature by Sat at 6:00 so I returned to the island Sun AM to meet up with my dive buddies instead of going for a second day.

Now if I could only figure out how to earn enough $$$ this year to take advantage of all the trip discounts (assuming, of course, that I don't win them all).

Did see lots of dive friends.

Dr. Bill

Wow, fins & a dive trip! I never win anything :(

You two are lucky!

Dr. Bill,
You were at the casino yesterday after all!? Sorry I missed you - I was there all day, and would have loved to have met you in person. Even though the vis was, um, yucky (what's up with 5-10 feet vis?), it was still a great day of diving, and from what I hear, the sunny weather we had (I've got a crispy, red nose to prove it!) was sure better than the gloom and rain here on the mainland.
I'm sorry I missed the show, though - lots of the people that went to the Casino with us had gone on Saturday, and they seemed to have enjoyed. Oh well, there's always next year!

You really didn't miss that much. The show was very travel oriented this year, not that that's a bad thing. One could pick up a lot of info for trip planning. There did seem to be quite a bit of photographic equipment around, too, which I would have liked to have had more free time to explore.

The most interesting thing that I noticed was that the Iron Eagle had a booth. Did anyone see what was up with that? Just curious - I thought it had moved to Mexico.

I won a pair of wet suits (one at the casino drawing, and one at the Sport Chalet booth). I wouldn't be surprised if you saw them on eBay next week. :)

But the highlight of the show was getting to meet kelpmermaid in person (the first person from this board whose handle I put a face to). [And yes, I know that prepositions are not for ending sentences with.]

As well as others I met. Sorry I missed you again, Mo2. Will check at the Coinstar machine.

Something one of my friends observed about me: I only end sentences in prepositions after my blood alcohol reaches a certain level. Hmmm...

WileE, I still think you should buy a lottery ticket.
