Oh...WOW...I am speechless. I just read Rusty's responses to the negative reviewers and I have to say, what an A**HOLE!!! Typical rusty, insult everyone who may disagree with him...

After reading his response I have a real desire to wander over to the other scuba related boards that I know and post links back here.

Don't let anything stop you. If anything, he just sounds like a broken machine who's just pissed off that people aren't taking his crap anymore. I love how he puts down everyone who has had anything negative to say because we all just hear and see whatever we want to hear and see.

I can almost hear the contempt in his replies. Definitely wouldnt give me a warm fuzzy feeling about doing business with him.

Just the kinda guy you want for a CCR mentor, eh?

Rusty certainly has some choice words for those who have given him negative reviews over at BBB. He's threatening 100's of positive reviews from "happy divers." Interesting how he mixes in some truth with outright lies though.

He claims that we "reviewed" the program three times. Twice before committing to it and once during class. Sure. What he means is that he gave us a cheesy poster board sales pitch 3 times. And if he discussed any additional costs and refund policies other than the total money-back guarantee I agreed to, he must have buried that info amongst a bunch of happy ho-ho sales lingo, cause I never heard it.

And yes, he did offer to throw in the $700.00 boat and rental fees. Once to entice me to spend $9100.00 on dive equipment which I thankfully turned down (and yes, he told me that all of that equipment would be bought back if I didn't want to continue diving - in fact he told us that several times) and a second time he offered to throw in the boat and rental after I asked to cancel classes and asked for my refund to which he said, "please review your sales receipt" referring to the 2 day return policy and no returns on personal gear. By that time I didn't want to have anything to do with him, but my wife was tempted by the offer and thought it seemed like an act of good faith and she agreed to accept via text messaging. I still thought it was a bad idea and the next day I told her to call Rusty back and tell him we still wanted to cancel and still wanted our refund. He replied that we were "crazy." Now that's customer service for you.

I think I'd be crazier to let myself dive 30 feet under water with a guy I had lost trust and faith in. My gut told me no and I was sticking to it. Once I realized that this guy had lied to me, and that he just saw me as a walking ATM machine, I wanted nothing to do with him. Everything he had told me was just to manipulate me into spending thousands of dollars on his stuff. And it worked a little. But fortunately I wised up before committing big money.

I'm actually laughing cause I think he's digging his own grave with his own shovel...I've never seen anyone lash out the way the way he has...insert his voice in his response and you'd be scared for you life...I mean...WOW!

Hey, I'm the one with mental issues...lol! He told me to bring the stuff in and he'll sell it for me in consignment...so not only will he screw me and not honor his own guarantee, he'll charge me an additional fee for selling the stuff for me in his store. Here's a thought Rusty, ever thought of keeping your word or honoring your own written guarantee??? But I guess that means you won't be able to make any money off inexperienced people who put their trust in your hands...I mean, seriously???
