It all depends what diving means to YOU. Personally, I find it a kind of spiritual endeavor. I'd lean towards some howling Rhesus monkey like Enya. For me, words can't describe it and pictures only give a hint. I'd go for something ethereal...vocal but not lyrical. Maybe Music of the Spheres?
 
One of the instructors at my LDS did a video to test his new camera at a local quarry, and made a little montage using Pink Floyd's A Saucerful of Secrets! Great stuff!

He also used Metallica's Nothing Else Matters for part of a video from a trip. He's pretty creative with his music selection! It's not all "island" music!
