Scuba Limericks

OK so at my LA meeting I promised to give up Limericks for a month and see how it goes. The month is up (almost) and I just fell of the wagon.

I was at a client’s oceanfront condo yesterday with a 12th floor view of the Atlantic Ocean off of Boca Raton. The following came to mind.


The seas are eight feet so they say
As I gaze out this window today
Still I’d much rather dive
(Than chat until five)
In a boat that would pitch, toss and sway.


I talked to a lawyer today to see if I could sue Wet Rat for starting this thread. The lawyer said I would have to prove intentional infliction of emotional distress which she said would be difficult because I enjoy this stuff way too much. Besides, she opined, the problem has not progressed to the point where it has hurt my home life or ability to be gainfully employed; thus I do not have the requisite damages to go to court. She thinks I can be redeemed. Now KevFin and Fish Whisperer on the other hand........
