Scuba Diving Magazine no longer owned by Rodale's

It is now owned by F+W Publications. They still claim to have "the best information about dive sites," "the only objective dive equipment reviews available to consumers," and their "commitment to [their] readers remain unchanged." (Remains to be seen!!!) I particularly "like" situation # 7 on the "Now What?" column, especially the part when they suggest that "f you're able to retrieve the severed limb[.]"

I'm glad I only have 3 months left in my subscription!! On the flip side, as cheap as it is, I may just keep it just to show my wife and kids what NOT to do!

I thought there was some other online site where you could get "better" equipment reviews than Rodale's, but you had to pay to subscribe. Being cheap, I didn't do it. Anybody recall the name of that site?

Undercurrent may be the one your thinking of. They don't accept any advertising and their reviews seem unbiased. The only draw back is the reviews are not available on all that many items.

I havn't paid for a "scuba diving" magazine in years but they keep sending it to me faithfully every month. Provides a good twenty minutes worth of entertainment...while on the toilet of course.

I don't subscribe but i do like looking at the pictures. Kind of the opposite of that other magazine where i only read the articles.
