i saw a video on youtube about a scuba diving cat in a pool, now this may be the most stupid question in the world but what would happen if someone took a cat on a no deco dive to 130' would the cat suffer deco sickness before a human passes his no deco limits? What about narcossis?.. entertain me...

I have no idea why I'm biting on this. Just don't know why a cat would be physioligically different than any other mammal. Cats are already crazy though so maybe the narcosis would not be felt as severely???

Good question. What is the Nitrogen saturation rate in a cat? And how exactly would you know when he reached it? Would he just suddenly start chasing the fish around like crazy? Or perhaps he would STOP chasing them around.

Your narc'd cat will look something like this. :puppy:

If you take my cat anywhere near water, other than his drinking bowl, he'll take your face off.

I do have a cat that will litearly chase a damn duck into the lake in my back yard, and try to swim after it, we call him a dog in a cat suit...lol... Oh btw if i where to take my cat that deep how in the world does anyone calculaue for a cat's sac rate, and if the cat had an OOA emergancy how is buddy breathing work with that, or does the cat have a AL 19 pony for backgas, and a Spare Air 3.0 for a pony..lol my mind is having trouble trying to fathom this...

I don't think it's possible to get an animal more than 5 deep since they cannot equalize and would likely become unmanagable during the descent due to ear/sinus pain.

Here's a link to the video in question.......
