Kelly, what are you scared about? Are you trained for the diving that you plan to do? I and a Yank and have lived and dived in UK for several years after having lived and dived all over the world. It is my opinion that the UK divers are the best in the world. Although i am only a PADI Divemaster, I find the BSAC trained divers are the best prepared. Clearly, UK water is colder and more current and less visibility than the beloved diving that i do now in Southeast Asia.

Plan you dives to your training level and you will be fine. GO beyond your abilities or training and you add risk to your activities. Best to minimize the risk and dive to your training.

Have fun. UK diving is outstanding once you get past the cold waters.
