HB is Honey Bear, an overturned boat which has had an octopus living under its bow this summer. It's in Cove 2 at Alki (not where we are diving on the 23rd) somewhere around 35 -40 fsw, if I'm remembering correctly.

NWGratefulDiver:The HB octo wasn't home last night, but it could've been on walkabout looking for a Happy Meal.
You shouldn't expect to see any octopus at Edmonds Underwater Park ... with all the ling cod living there they don't tend to stick around long (either food or fled) ... but there's enough other cool stuff there to more than make up for it.

I normally wear 3 mm neoprene gloves ... but most drysuit divers wear dry gloves.WVDiver:I'm sure I will see plenty of great things during my visit both above and below the water. If I see an octopus great, otherwise just visiting and enjoying new dive sites and making a few new friends is more than enough to make me happy.
Do you guys normally wear your dry golves or do you wear neoprene? I would prefer neoprene but I have both.

Last night around 7:30pm, he (she?) was not under the bow and there were lots of other little octos scattered about.DoubleDip:Geez, the pressures on now!
Has anyone seen the Honey Bear Octopus at cove two in the last couple of days?
So far then the head count is eight people....looking good.
If you liked that one then you'll love this one.TSandM:Boy, we didn't encounter the octos tonight, but I enjoyed your sailfin sculpin picture, because we found two of them, and I had never seen them before.
