The Sand Dollar Condominiums Homeowners Association is pleased to announce that it has agreed to contract Management Connexions to perform the duties of General Manager for Sand Dollar. This company is owned by Debby Rauwers. She and her husband Marco Vermeulen have been running it in the Netherlands where it has operated in the corporate event and travel industry.
Debby and Marco also own and operate a small, elegant boutique hotel, La Pura Vista, on Bonaire, and hold the management contract for neighboring property Den Laman Condominiums. Marco currently manages Den Laman Condominiums and Debby will perform the duties of General Manager at Sand Dollar.
Debby grew up on Bonaire, where her family built Buddy Dive, and where she was actively involved in operations from an early age. After completing her studies at the Higher Hotel Management School in Maastricht, Holland, she returned to Bonaire to work at Buddy Dive, first on the floor for three years, and then as Assistant General Manager, General Manager and finally as Director of Buddy Dive, until it was sold in 2002. After the sale of Buddy Dive Resort, Debby became an independent entrepreneur with her company named Management Connexions in the corporate event industry in the Netherlands.
Debby was responsible for taking Buddy Dive from a small, family owned concern and developing it into an internationally recognized resort and successfully introducing it to the U.S. market said James Kewley, President of the Sand Dollar Condominiums Homeowners Association.
