Rust in an aluminum 63???????

A hydro is not automaticly required after tumbling.Tumbling does not remove any sugnificant amount of good metal.
 
Did you mention what color the "rust" is?
Tumbling media is often rusty in color. Even tho the media itself doesn't rust, it does tend to pick up rust from steel tanks. All of our tumbling media is rusty in color (Orange).

We've never hydroe'd a tank simply because it was tumbled. Come to think of it, not sure we've tumbled an AL tank in decades. A whip usually does the job nicely.
