Write out your plan...file with rangers, family and perhaps even local dive shop...rescue/recovery works best when victims / bodies can be found!!!
 
For drysuit divers: never miss an opportunity to go pee (before suiting up!)

If something looks pretty enough and slow enough that you could catch it....there's at least one good reason why you shouldn't!
 
Before submerging from the surface, switch from snorkel to regulator. :lotsalove:
 
Do not try to dive the Flower Gardens when a Huricane is in the gulf. You may have a long swim back to Galveston (assuming it's still there) if your dive boat sinks durning the storm.

Dive deep
Dive long

If you need to cut a whole in the surface to get to water in the liquid state,follow these simple steps before doing your giant stride:
1. Stop
2. Get out your compass
3. Find South
4. Travel about 1500 miles
5. Then proceed with your dive.
