I took some OW divers to Branford today with the intent of diving Royal Spring, then Troy. Upon arrival at Royal we saw that wasnt going to happen. The water was stagnant, greenish, about 5ft or less on the surface. We bailed and headed to Troy Spring. This was much better. Although there were a few classes there, which made for a bit of chaos in the water, everything looked good. The second dive, no one was around making for a much better dive. Water is so low, its a 3 ft fall from the steps, and you can barley snorkel down the run. Depth is about 1ft.

Tommorow, off to Morrison.

Thanks for the report, Morrison is still good, run is shallow but passable.

Well, back from Morrison with 5 new students. Water was great.

Hey, that place looks familiar :D.

Well , well ...
Rub it in again !
Now I HAVE to go up there...
cause I wanna dive with dat SuperBugMan and dat Yoda , don't ya know , fer sure !!!

Yes , I would imagine Royal would be bad.... (yuck)
And I know what you mean about Troy...
I had to kind of shimmy my way in from the steps...And to get out , well , lets just say I walked thru the muck and well , er , uh ...
Good thing they had a rinse station at the top ...
Yes , it is TOO SHALLOW to get over the rocks out into the run at Troy. I tried but I gave up pretty quickly...Nothing like seeing the Beano floundering on her belly , stuck like a floundering whatever out there !!!

Jeano Beano

P.S. Glad Morrison worked out for you ! How long did it take you to get from Troy to Morrison? Just curious !
