I ran into some issues with wanting to move where my Nerd 2 was positioned relative to my eye, while still using the adjustable Revo mount. I created a 3d model of the original part then created 2 different sized extensions that add 10mm or 20mm to the original part.

It does require a bit of work as there's a hole that needs to be drilled and tapped. It also requires a couple pieces of custom hardware but nothing too expensive.

Also, it may function with other Nerd 2 mounts, but the one pictured is the only one I had to test with.

I've attached the step files if you want to try 3d printing it yourself, or you can order one through shapeways.

Required hardware and tools:
M4-0.7 x 20mm Socket Head Cap screw (Stainless Steel)
M4-0.7 x 40mm Socket Head Cap screw (Stainless Steel) (Only for Medium/10mm extension)
M4-0.7 x 50mm Socket Head Cap screw (Stainless Steel) (Only for Large/20mm extension)
M4-0.7 Nylon Lock Nut (Stainless Steel)
M4-0.7 Bottoming Tap
3.30mm Drill bit

If I understand this correctly the 20mm piece would kick the Nerd over approx 3/4"

Correct, the 20mm piece will move it just over 3/4" from where the original part would place it.

thanks, I ordered the 20mm part from Shapeways, looking forward to trying it out in may.
I do like the nerd at the far edge of my vision of my left eye.

I hope it works out for you! I definitely prefer the new position, although the nerd is on my right side. Oh one other note, the nut is a tight fit in the new part but it does fit. If you really struggle though you could probably use a bit of high grit sandpaper to make more room for an easier fit. Feel free to reach out if you have any issues and I'll do whatever I can to help.

I've been using a "homemade bracket" to kick the Nerd as far left as possible, so I know thats where I want the Nerd to live. Thanks for coming with and making the bracket extension. Much appreciated.

No problem at all, glad to help! 😁
