Reshaping Jet fin foot pockets

With all of the question and problems folks have with fitting into the limited Jetfin sizes, I'm wondering if anyone has attempted reshaping the foot pocket - what did you try and how did it go?

I'm thinking that perhaps a form (in the shape of the boot used) and a hair dryer/heat gun or some other heat source may allow some reshaping... ideas/comments...
