That seems to be part of the course, last I looked.They’re teaching to give rescue breaths while towing some one? That seems like a bad idea…
Good thing dive accidents only happen where there is no swell...The best place to do your rescue training is somewhere with calm water. try learning to give rescue breaths in a swell. no bueno.

I'd rather learn in the conditions that I dive in most frequently, which for me meant taking Rescue in Puget Sound in a drysuit and shore diving with typical wave action since that represents 80-90% of my diving.Practice in swells but learn in calm. Duh.
