The Red Cross Adult CPR/AED/and First Aid course might fit the need. It can be done online, in person, or blended. .Consider a combined or in-person class that satisfies OSHA standards, Actual practice is better than just watching a videos on line. Go to redcross.org and click on the training tab. You can put in your location and it will generate a list of all courses in the area.
The American Heart Association also offers similar classes. Not sure about the first aid portion.
I imagine you should have no problem finding either in NYC
Any chance you can access a Diver Alert Network CPR/AED/O2 course? It is really the gold standard for dive professionals but takes more time than Red Cross or AHA courses.

The biggest difference between diving first aid/CPR and non-diving is O2 provider certification. It’s not technically required, but considering it is the first line treatment for any malady or accident… Good to know.

I may be able to. Is there a schedule / pricing on DAN website?

Good point

The class schedules/prices are set by the individual instructor. They do have an instructor directory where you can search for instructors near you.

Can anyone say from personal experience the difference between DAN DFA and SSI React Right?

I took React Right with mostly the shop dive pros, and some of the instructors are dual certified for DFA and React Right.

I don't have any first hand experience with the SSI program. I see their course description implies that a student can select which modules they want to take to customize the course to one's personal interest. I took the DAN DFA-Pro. It is thorough but may be more than most divers require.
