I just don't log dives
I know there are a load of threads on regulators, but I want to get suggestions on what might be best for my diving stythe diving I plan to do. I have been using a Sherwood Magnum Blizzard purchased in the early 80's for 20+ years. I have used it under the ice and at 145' in mid 30's fresh water. I had one freeflow at 145' after I inverted and got the water in my mask up my nose and I aspirated it and coughed it out through the reg.

Anyway, I am in the process of upgrading to a deep set up on doubles and need to pick out one regulator for the deep, cold dives. I hope to start doing mixed gas in the next year and want a reg that will handle that also.

Bottom line, deeper than 130', cold water, mixed gas, easy to maintain. I do NOT plan to take it apart under water, If I have a problem I head for the surface or the deco gas.

I use Apex. Others use Scubapro.

Pretty much anything outside of that will create a discussion here on SB.

I run DS4's ATX 50/40's on all backgas and most stages. I do have two Salvo (Diverite) sets for deco gas. No complaints.

I recommend Apeks XTX200 and Scubapro MK25/S600

The Zeagles and DiveRites are good also.

I just bought a pair of XTX200, I love them to the max. Divetank has them on sale for 599.99 :). I mean they are sooo easy to breathe from, which makes life much easyer. The looks of the xtx200 is unreal, which it looks awesome with the black gear.

Another vote for the MK17/S600. They breathe like a dream and are one of the best out there for cold water. The flow rate is more than adequate for any kind of diving

Poseidon Jetstream or Extreme the only "discussion" that can be had is price and if you search you can get them cheap.
