Went into my LDS today to look at regulators, mainly interested in Atomic. The LDS sells Atomic, ScubaPro, Aqua Lung, Apex, and a few others. It was interesting that the sales person was steering me away from Atomic and pushing Scuba Pro based on the free parts during servicing. As he put it "what you'll save on parts costs over the life will pay for the reg".

I don't want an arguement of which brand to get, but instead would like to know some people's experience with the servicing costs are for Atomic and ScubaPro - are the parts a significant part of the servicing costs?

The really nice thing about the free parts for life program for the LDS is that pretty much means you'll be back once a year to pay the $75 - $100 labor charge.

Price varies by location.

1st/2nd plus Octo: $40~$100.. Part is only $3~$6 (ScubaPro dealer price).

Oh~~ Yeah.. Nothing is secret in the service cost. ;)
