i'd have to agree, ive been spoiled on my ATX50's and DS4 since my open water days. I never have problems. Had them to 155 on air without a hitch and the bottom temp was 39 deg F.

I'd follow Mike Bell's lead and his reference to motorcycle helmets:

If you have $300 lungs, feed them with a $300 regulator.

That's great I'm going to have to remember that one. <chuckle>

The original quote was "If you have a $10 head, put a $10 helmet on it"

Of course, this was in 1977 or so when you could get a top of the line Shoei helmet for $75.

I have taken my Sherwood Magnum on a wreck dive to about 140ft in Hawaii. I did not have any problems with breathing at depth. However, this was a low effort dive with no penatration inside the wreck, warm waters, and little current. I would not hesitate using it again for such a dive. If you are doing this one dive you could probably keep it. If you want to get into wreck diving and will be going deeper in the future then you should take a look at all the items in your kit and see what would need replacing.

Ive used the Magnum (or perhaps the Maximus) brfore and I cn tell you its lot better than the Oasis. But like others have said if your gonna upgrade do it right.

I use Apeks and SP but this weekend I got to try a DiveRite reg (rg2000) and I gotta tell you I was really impressed!
