Okay, I have to ask. What is the difference bewteen a $15 finger spool and a $65 finger spool. This seems like a way huge margin bewteen products that look exactly the same to me.
He who makes it can price it.....................:D

Some would argue that the material they use is superior, the holes they drill are rounder and the double ender they use is more stainless than others. But if it looks like a spool, feels like a spool and spools like a spool, it must be a spool.

Plastic .. smaller finger hole, less durable, less costly
Metal .. larger finger hole, more durable, costly

Plastic won't bend, the metal ones will. The sides of my metal one got bent in a little.

You can get plastic ones with bigger thumb holes making them easier to use with big gloves on. I can't recall who makes them at the moment. Halycon, maybe??

Scott Koplin was the first to offer the bigger thumb hole but I don't think he's in the business any longer.

Halcyon makes one but in the 100' length only.
