We've got $50 so far, so make sure Kris adds that to the budget. I'm going to see some fellow Conch's in the morning so I'll give you an update tomorrow evening. :)

CBulla:
OK.. I was chewed out for considering staying anywhere but at VillaMar, which is sort of becoming Conch Headquarters for us out of towners. I'll be honest in saying that my wife and I are completely flattered that ya'll are considering taking up a collection to make sure we can make it (kris's preggy emotions had her crying and speechless and everything). Now that we finally have power/phone/i-net all back and functioning without interruption, Kris is going to check the budget to find out how much the hurricane put us into a bind.. Oh yeah, and I haven't forgotten about doing the updates, but if you can't tell by the time of this post, time hasn't been on my side - It'll get there, I promise! :D
Colin,
Don't sweat the small stuff ie:reef Id, we can pitch in on that also. Take care of the big stuff ie: family and self. You have given much of your self to us as a group or should it be extended family and to individuals when they are in need. Just consider it our small way to thank you for the inspiration behind many SCB/FCD activities and more importantly friendships and great sentiments when in need. Sooo....not a problem.

Chuck (ya know what I mean)

Thanks to the addition from ScubaKevDm (Kevin) and Squid (Scott), we are now up to $125.00 WoooHooo! WE're getting there, you guys are awesome!

Hubby and I were going to join you all but the timing just isn't right for us. We too are Charley survivors and the money I set aside for the weekend is now going to fill the fridge and freezer. Plus my mom is flying in that weekend. I was originally going to ask her to babysit so we could go but I only get to see her once a year...

I'd like to contribute to the CBulla collection since we can't make it. Can I send a PayPal to one of you or a money order?

PM me with instructions.

Thanks and have a GREAT time!

We are still going down that weekend, and can contribute a little to the Bulla relief fund even if we arent doing the class itself - however i would like to know if people would mind a "non-REEF ID participant" tag-along on that first saturday morning shore dive as i have nothing to do at that time and will be in the area for that weekend? I heard it was somewhere in Hollywood, but that is all the info i know.

Are most people staying around the area of the Villamar? We are in the process of working out accomodations for that weekend.

Let me know.

My wife and I will chip in as well. Just let me know where to send some money.

Just curious but do we have a count of who is staying at the villamar.

I just booked a room for my wife and I.

You know, I continue to be amazed by the generosity and cohesiveness of our group here online and can't even begin to tell ya'll how much my family and I are thankful.

I wanted to take a moment and bring everyone up to speed. So far I believe we have 15 people signed up for the class, which is fantastic! Rose is opening up the few remaining spots (11) to people outside of our group. She's also going to have an assistant for the course to help with all of us.

I've sent her email confirmation of the names of our people and numbers (as best as I can guesstimate), and requested the directions to the Boulders and anything else she can help provide.

I'll mention again, some of us are going to do some night diving/bug hunting. Its a no pressure night dive that should we happen to spot bugs, they are goin in a goody bag destined for the grill with some butter and lemon seasoning! If no bugs, we had a nice dive.

Also, who amongst our ranks dives with a bp/wing and will be there this weekend?

BP/W here, what do you need to know?? Again i am hoping just to tag along on the saturday AM shore dive and night dives that weekend plus doing shore diving whilst you are in class etc - have a few takers for that i believe.

I sent my fee Monday. I will be diving with bp/w.

Chuck
