Hey, we're in on the roach hunt...... I'm not into the hunt thing either (they just look toooo much like a giant cockroach, ewwww! ) but I'm definitely up for a tag along..I'm pretty good at spotting them, but make no mistakes, I'm not touching 'em!!! yuck!
But will you eat it them?

Colin, I just signed up. Scbababe is coming along also.

I've had them twice, and hated them both times! I will try it one last time just to make sure (It's been about 15 years since) But I wont make any promises (note to hubby ;) )
I'll have my stamp to add to the bunch if we find a ton of them... If I could just get pass the roach thing I might be able to touch them (but just long enough to put them in a bag) :eyebrow:

Well, I guess if y'all don't mind showing a new diver where to point his light, then I'm in too!

a) Are you DEFINITELY doing it Saturday night? - cuz I won't be there Sunday night.

b) Guess I better buy a light or two for the wife and I (unless you know of a place that rents 'em).

*I'm looking at the Underwater Kinetics LightCannon 100. I know this is not the GEAR forum, but I wondered if any of YOU guys had an opinion on it.

I would love to do the night dive as well except that I've never done one. Can you help a darkness newbie?

Cra2, the light cannon has received some really strong support from everyone I have talked to about lights.

Joe

I'm going to try and night dive both friday and saturday night. I figure "why not?!" since we're on the beach there anyway!!

Personally, I have a little hand held single bulb 2AA battery light. You'd be surprised at how little light you really need to see with in the ocean at night :D

NOTE: Post 1 has been updated with boat times. Only waiting on the location of the class now! :D

Well i vote for three nights of diving, sunday as well.

With the depths involved, you will be down forever, about 80+ mins at the very least assuming you dont rush all over the place (note to Marvel ;) ). Still would be good to hang out with you guys, we are thinking of getting a hotel just down the road from the Villamar for the weekend, so should be around most of the time you guys arent in class or on the boat. Need more info on diving the rest of on labour day and the evenings, but we can discuss when we get together i guess. Becky and i will do a variety of shore dives that weekend on saturday and sunday, hitting all the major areas now i have been given a taste of what is on offer and where you can go by Jenny et al last weekend.

I'm up for diving Sat, and Sun pm..... we wont get there until 1am saturday morning .... yay :(

I guess my wifey will inform of all of this when I get home. I can't wait to see everyone again along with the newbies. We WILL have a good time that weekend!

See Ya there
