Recent IE sitters?

Hey you guys,

I was wondering if any of you guys recently sat the PADI IE. The reason is i bough the 2010 manual, but im not sure it will be enough for the general standards exam. Ive went through some sample exams, i got most questions but a couple had information that i couldnt find in the manual. Specially the specialties, Discover Snorkel, and a few others.

Its pretty cut down and stripped of all information, all it is basically the collection of the all "bold blue" points in the older manual.

My IE is on monday so we'll be using the older IDC/IE structure rather than the new one to be implemented June.

Any help appreciated.

There are currently two versions of the IDC and IE standards exams - old and new. If you train with the new manual, your Course Director should be giving you the exams and materials relevant to the new manual, and this should be further reflected in the IE.

Not a great deal has changed regarding the practical application (that I am aware of, I haven't staffed a new IDC as yet), but the standards exams should reflect the manual you have been using.

Yeah i managed to get the new standards Exam based on the '10 manual.

Was too easy.
