Anyone know the rationale for Scubapro making version "2" of their popular Frameless mask?

I'm considering buying a Frameless 2, but I'm curious whether the 2 is an improved version, or just cheaper to make (while leveraging the "SP Frameless" reputation for sales).

Any reviews of the Frameless 2 out there?

THANKS!

I've got one on the shelf in the store. It's totally different from the classic frameless. Clear skirt for one fit is different, look is different etc.

Actually there is a third, the 'Trinidad'. I tried the Frameless II and found it hit the bridge of my nose. The dive shop had a Trinidad in black and it fit great. It seems to be obviously a lower end mask, but it's low volume with a wide field of view, fits great, comfortable, and was very inexpensive. I'm liking it a lot.

SP's Trinidad looks pretty much identical to Oceanic Shadow.

wunat,

I thought it was pretty much like the Oceanic Shadow also, but a friend of mine had a Shadow and when I tried it, it hit the bridge of my nose. The Trinidad does not so it must be different.

Would be interesting to find out. The local distributor of Scubapro do not carry the Trinidad yet. Will check them out when they are available.
