That is not the kind of email that you want to receive. I am sorry to hear that they are overbooked. I think the secret is out at how nice it is there for the money! We were in Candidasa in September of 09 and stayed at the Lotus Bungalows Resort. We loved it there! Jan and Henri run the resort and they are fantastic. It is a bit of a "haul" from the airport but a very nice place when you get there. You can walk ( over crazy broken up sidewalks...) into town and they have some cute shops there, cafes and bars. We got some really nice wood pieces for a fraction of the price that you would pay in the states. Just about all of us bought silver at one of the local shops as well. You can hire a car and driver from there to take you anywhere else you want to go for about $45/day. We stayed at Lotus primarily to dive to see the Mola Molas, but you might want to check it out as an alternative to Ubud. If you wanted to add some diving, their dive operation is fantastic! (Gangga divers) Sorry about the Tegal Sari! Hope this helps!
