Quotes in message threads

Going back over one or two threads I've posted in I noticed that quite often, when I've quoted someone else's remark, that later the quote has disappeared leaving the message with only my golden prose.

Not a bad thing of course, but this can mean the what I've written appears out of context.

Anyone else notice this?

This happens if someone edits the post to remove their original text, that's why we don't let people delete posts.
