Quick feedback on "Aquaworld" in Cancun...

I'm aching to go to Coz tomorrow for a 2tank dive excursion from Cancun... the hotel I'm at has an Aquaworld annex that it uses for its dive packages to Coz. I've been reading the reviews on Aquaworld on tripadvisor and they're are NOT good... almost every one that is negative speaks on their lack of safety, be it the equipment or DMs.

Can anyone vouch for them or fill me in on details of a dive shop that will take me to Coz for the day for roughly $150? I'm looking to go tomorrow... Sat.

I would not use them (again). I have not read the reviews, but unsafe practices and equipment sound like what I remember. Not to mention, it's a big outfit & process, big crowded boats and a bus to the ferry.
I would (and have) take a taxi/shuttle to playa, hop the ferry, and dive with any of the well respected Coz. shops. I've used Aqua Safari, Blue XT-Sea, and some other's I don't recall the names of- all of which are better than AW. Even if the total $$ is a little more, it would be worth it (IMO). You can probably book something through a Playa dive shop as well.

yes try and avoid aquaworld if you can, it's a cattle boat service and too rushed!
I can take you on Sunday to dive cozumel or your other option is to go solo to playa and find a boat/guide at the ferry dock.
It's a long day so a tour is the most convienent way...

Hi look up Scubamaucozumel.com, call Opal you will have a great day with their crew. Try to be on island by 8am. The boat leaves at 830am. A cab from the ferry is 70pesos to Villa Blanca where they are. She will give you a ride back. If you dont get on the phone with her just show up they have gear if you need it, they will put you on a boat, small, fast. I hope you get it figured out. kevin
